-Me gusta por: primer álbum de estos neozelandeses, además producidos por ellos mismos. Tienen un poco de snow patrol en sus inicios, otro poco de yeasayer, de caribou o incluso de mis adorados CEO. Ese pop-rock-indie con toques electrónicos pero muy muy escuchable, sobre todo ahora con el buen tiempo, que anima a poner la música un poco más alta. A la pregunta: a qué suena?, respondo: suena a libertad, a vivir, a saltar y a gritar!! pura anarquía musical :)

-Me gusta por: desde Suecia llegan las hermanas Söderberg, de 18 y 21 años. Muy inspiradas en el folk actual de Fleet Foxes, acaban de sacar este discazo con este segundo single. Es sencilla, es delicada y es una preciosa canción. Muy fácil de escuchar y muy difícil de sacar de la cabeza, da gusto que hoy en día se siga haciendo música de este estilo, purismo y calidad :)

-La conocí por: la suelen poner en el hilo musical de una tienda de ropa californiana, que huele genial, esta a oscuras y hay pantallas enormes con videos de playas y el mar (vaaale, me encanta hollister)
-Me gusta por: odio el invierno, el frio, la poca luz, el vaho, el viento y derivados, asi que me refugio en canciones como esta para calentar el alma. Tomadlo como adelanto del veranito, una canción movida, fresquita, que invita a pensar en altas temperaturas, escapadas a san juan de alicante, dias de piscina, picnics...ains!! en fin, segundo disco de este grupo de seattle antes conocidos con el curioso nombre de "Natalie Portman´s Shaved Head" si, asi, tal cual. Hacen lo que les da la gana y gustan a la gente, que más se puede pedir en la vida.

-La conocí por: a billy joel le conocemos generalmente por su Piano Man, pero es uno de los cantantes más reconocidos de américa.
-Me gusta por: me encanta esta canción porque es muy pura, muy auténtica. Habla de la dura vida de un marinero en tiempos difíciles, y como intenta sobrevivir en un mundo que antes era de abundancia. Es triste pero es poderosa, es dura pero es sensible, me encanta :) Como curiosidad, en la canción nombra a su barco Alexa, al igual que su barco en la vida real y también el nombre de su hija, Alexa Joel.

-La conocí por: un día de casualidad vi su videoclip en la tv y me engancharon
-Me gusta por: Un buen día dos suecos se juntaron para hacer música, uno proveniente de la escena electrónica y el otro de las melodías clásicas. Y el resultado es esta extraña mezcla que sobre todo suena a petshopboys y a otras cosas también del norte como CEO, anteriormente puestos en este mismo blog. Lodi es una canción que habla de los principios de la banda, cuando recorrían pueblos rurales para tocar en garitos de mala muerte ante, a veces, una decena de espectadores.
